Equipment:
- MEATER Block
- Knife
- Cutting board
- Tongs
- Small bowl
- Foil
Time:
- Prep – 2 minutes
- Marinate – 30 minutes
- Cook – MEATER will estimate for you!
Doneness:
- 150°F – Medium doneness (can be adjusted to your liking)
Ingredients:
Ribeyes
- 2 ribeye steaks (or your favorite cut)
- 1 tsp. fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic powder
- 1 tsp. course black pepper
- 1 tsp. pink salt
- Olive oil
Roasted Garlic Compound Butter (Optional)
- 1 head garlic
- olive oil
- course salt
- 1 small white onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp of butter
Instructions:
1. Let’s get started! Preheat your smoker to 225°F (nice and low). While that’s heating up, rub-a-dub the ribeyes with a drizzle of olive oil. Let those steaks sit for a hot sec, while you combine chopped rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix this rub all together, then evenly season both ribeyes. Let them chill out for 30 minutes before you start cooking, so they can soak in all those flavors.
2. Once the steaks are at room temperature, grab your handy dandy MEATER Block probes and insert them into the center of the thickest part of the steaks, past the safety notch line. Then set up your cook in the app with a target internal temperature of 150°F or your preferred doneness — as long as it’s not well done. 🤭
3. Place the steaks inside the smoker and let MEATER do what it’s best at! The app will notify you when to remove the steak from heat. While the ribeyes are cooking, let’s start working on that compound butter! It’s optional, but it’s the perfect finishing touch to these steaks.
4. Alert, alert! The steaks are ready to be removed from heat! Let them rest on a plate or cutting board, top with compound butter, and let them rest until MEATER notifies you it’s ready, then slice those bad boys up and enjoy!
5. If you want your date to eat like royalty, pair the steaks with lobster! UHHH-MAZING.
