Mojito

Ingredients

Mint leaves, and extra for garnish

2 ounces white rum

1 ounce fresh lime juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Ice

Club soda or sparkling water

Lime slices, for garnish

Steps

1. Gently crush the mint at the base of a cocktail shaker until it releases its aromatic essence.

2. Combine the rum, lime juice, simple syrup, a generous portion of ice, and shake well.

3. Pour the mixture through a strainer into an ice-filled glass.

4. Finish by adding a dash of club soda and embellish with lime slices and additional mint for garnish.

Negroni

Ingredients

1 ounce gin

1 ounce Campari

1 ounce sweet vermouth

Orange peel, for garnish

Steps

1. Combine the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth in a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir until thoroughly chilled.

2. Pour the mixture through a strainer into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.

3. Complete the Negroni by garnishing with a twist of orange peel.

Margarita

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces silver tequila

1 ounce orange liqueur (Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or Triple Sec)

3/4 ounce freshly-squeezed lime juice

Agave nectar or simple syrup, to taste

Ice

Lime wedge and coarse salt for rimming the glass

Steps

1. If desired, rim the top of your serving glass with salt. Run a lime wedge around the rim, then dip it into a shallow bowl or plate of salt until the rim is coated to your liking. Set aside.

2. Prepare the margarita mix by combining tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave, and a few ice cubes in a cocktail shaker.

3. Cover and shake vigorously for approximately 10 seconds.

4. Taste the mix and stir in a teaspoon or two of sweetener if extra is desired.

5. Serve by filling the prepared glass with ice. Strain the margarita mix into the glass, garnish with a lime slice, and enjoy.

Classic Martini

Ingredients

2 ½ ounces gin or vodka

½ ounce dry vermouth

1 dash orange bitters (for a little extra flavor)

Lemon or Orange peel to garnish

Steps

1. Start off by popping your martini glass in the freezer to chill for your cocktail. (You can totally skip this step, but it does add a cool little touch!)

2. Combine all your ingredients into a mixing glass over some ice and stir well for about 30 seconds until your martini is chilled.

3. Strain the cocktail into your chilled glass and garnish with your twisted lemon or orange peel. Cheers!
