Tis the season to check your MEATER!

Don’t get caught out in the kitchen this Christmas season. Now is the perfect time to check your MEATER and remove the stress of a Christmas constantly checking the oven.

This quick article will highlight the best way to avoid any disruption of your Christmas cooking plans on the big day.

1. Check your MEATER’s batteries

This may seem obvious, but you don’t want to have the Turkey on the table and realise your MEATER is out of power!

To check your battery level on a MEATER of MEATER+ simply press the button on the front of the charger. If the LED lights up green then you’re good to go. If it’s red then you’re running low and should swap out the triple A. If there’s no light, then it’s definitely time for a change!

For the MEATER Block simple start up the device by pressing the power button and select ‘Standalone’. The Block UI will show the battery level in the top corner.

2. Clean your MEATER Probe

We’re not suggesting you have stored your MEATER without a good scrub or a round in the dishwasher; however what we do know is that every year we help disappointed customers whose MEATER probes had a thin (essentially invisible) layer of grime on the ambient tip. This grime can prevent the probe contacting the charger and the probe will slowly run out of battery, leaving it empty when you need it most.

So make sure to give it a good scrub with the rough side of a sponge!

3. Connect your MEATER device

If it has been a while since your last cook it is definitely worth ensuring your MEATER probe connects to your phone or repeater without issue. If you’re using the same phone as last time simply open the app and remove the probe from the charger. The probe should connect within a few seconds. If it doesn’t then our support wizard or FAQ should be able to help
